Blessings and Curse
- Not Symmetrical - 2 Peter 3:9
- Not Ultimately Material - Spiritual: having a relationship with God
- Blessing = relationship with God
- Not based on works - covenant based on grace
- Obedience of faith in God thanks to grace
2 Problems
- Presumption- Deuteronomy 29:19
- Works of the Law - not obedience based on faith but of themselves
- Galatians 3 - Obedience to the works of the Law brings curse because it relies on trusting yourself not your faith in God
- Galatians 3:10 & 11
Jesus became a curse for us by taking our curse to free us and bring us into relationship and faith in God. Galatians 3:14
Romans 11:22 - Kindness & Severity of God.
Remember to consider the consequence of your choices as the are Eternal.
